Fashionable Dining Room Set Furniture
Unique Dining Room Sets : Creativity merges with contemporary lines in the sophisticated dining room furniture sets in our collection. Contemporary dining tables come in a plethora of stylish designs to appeal to diverse tastes. Modern Formal dining room sets come complete with glass or wooden top tables, buffets, cabinets and chairs for you to choose from.
There is a range of dining room furniture for every need, both slight and big. Often, dining room sets come to be looked down as regular stuff in terms of size and proportion, often considered for small/mid/big sized dining areas. Dining room set tables have come to mean more than the regular rectangles and squares though. We now have space-hugging shapes like oval, semi and full circles and others that are easy on room yet high on function.
Little else came close to repro'ing (reproducing) the thrill of that idyllic summer romance and feeling like a lady, cherished and captivating in natural glory (okay, I'll admit to some help from Maybelline there)…Until I espied the oh-so elegant Italian (aww, you guessed my weakness) dining room set from the Camelgroup, now available in the US. Simply called Milady Italian this is one of many dining room set tables created in classic ivory lacquer finish to elevate even the simplest of meals to a fine dining experience for a family dinner – or even a more intimate one for two.
The King dining room set table is a symbol of this and lives up to its name. Think of a unique, round dining table supported by three legs and you have your description. Simple? Yes! But also spacious and stylish with a solid metal interior and leather cover. And if you ask me, it's the simple things in life that are the best, aren't they? The table top is a smooth surface with the recurrent circular pattern creating an unusual theme. This is the dining room set table for intimate candlelight dinners or entertaining evening parties. It's sure to charm everyone, including yourself.
Let's say that you are looking for dining tables that are far from ornate and fancy. All you are really looking for is Dining room set furniture that is pretty simplistic yet has the strength to withstand you and your family. Well, you do have a couple of choices here that might appeal to you! The designs are the Deja-vu extendable dining table and the Tango rectangular dining room set table.
There are two different dining tables that you might choose to consider here. They are the Platinum Oval Extendable dining room set table and the Plano Extendable dining table. These two types of dining room set tables along with the chairs that match are among the many that fall into the Dining room furniture. Are you someone that likes to have an oval dining room sets table? Or are you one of those that prefers to have a rectangular shape to it? In either case you might indeed like the models that you can find out there.

Motorcycle and chopper painting tutorial
PAINT AND PREP SUPPLIES
Reducer
Plastic Filler
Flowable Putty
Epoxy primer
Epoxy Sealer
Base color Paint
Clear Coat
80,120,400,600,1500,2000 grit wet/dry sandpaper
IMPROVISED PAINT BOOTH
If you're like me, you don't have the luxury of a down-draft spray booth in your shop. Here's what I did. I cleaned out a storage room that's attached to the back of my shop. I lined the walls with white poly, and placed a variable speed fan in the window. I then went around with a roll of duct tape and sealed the perimeter of the fan to the surrounding poly on the walls. Now onto the lights. After the first time you try painting something, you'll quickly learn just how critical good lighting is. In fact when it comes to lighting, the brighter your paint area the better. A buddy gave me two four-tube florescent light fixtures, which I hung on opposite sides of my new spray booth. It's good to have reflective walls. Lining the walls with white poly not only saves your walls, but it's also quite reflective.
SAFETY
Before I continue, I want to stress safety. It's a very bad I idea to paint in a room that's attached to your house. In fact, it may not be legal in some jurisdictions. Also, paint fumes are not only super toxic, they're highly flammable. Make sure your fixtures are wired properly, and that your fixtures are fully encased with lens covers attached. Last but not least, make sure you have a good quality respirator with the correct filters for the kind of paint you're using.
PAINT EQUIPMENT
For tools you'll need at least two spray guns, a air regulator with a water trap, a compressor, and of course some air hose. As aforementioned, you'll need 2 paint guns... one for painting primer, and another for painting base and clear coats.
PREP FOR PAINT
Be certain your fuel and oil tanks are pressure tested and leak free before you start. Ideally, it's good to sandblast your metal parts, especially if they have old paint on them. If you choose not to sandblast, make sure to sand them really thoroughly and wipe them down with a non oil-based cleaner prior to starting the job.
The next step is to apply filler to the low spots and any trouble areas. It's a matter of personal preference, but I like to spray a coat of epoxy primer prior to spraying on the base coat. This gives a nice base for the filler to adhere to. Prepare your filler in small amounts (it sets up fast) and apply it smoothly and evenly onto your part.
After the filler has dried, sand it smooth with 80 grit and look it over for any low spots or chips, then fill and sand again. After the necessary rounds of filler and sanding are finished, it's time to prime.
Spray on a couple of coats of epoxy primer. After the primer has dried, get a spray can of black paint and very lightly spray it over your part. This is the guide coat. The light black coat will show any ripples, low spots or defects in your handy work. To repair the problem areas that the guide coat exposed, you'll want to use flowable putty instead of filler. Apply the putty in thin even coats, then smooth it down with 80 grit sandpaper (wrapped around a rubber sanding block). Once you get the high spots leveled down, smooth it down even more with 120 grit, then finishing it with 400 grit. You're now ready for the last round of primer. Once the primer is dry, sand it thoroughly with 400 grit to give it a toothy surface for the base coat to stick to. I like to spray on a coat of epoxy sealer just prior to spraying the base colour coat. In addition to providing a ideal surface for applying the base color, it also prevents any solvents from coming through and causing bubbles in your clear coat. Make sure to follow the paint manufacturers spec sheets with regards to mixing times, mixing ratios and painting temperature. Failure to following the instructions will cause you much grief...believe me.
BASE COAT/CLEAR COAT
Now comes the color coat. Lay down the colour coats as per your paint manufacturer's spec sheet. Next comes the clear. After the first round of clear has dried, wet sand it down with 600 grit. You'll notice rows of ridges appear in the clear as you sand. Keep sanding until the clear is even and the ridges are gone. If you're painting graphics on, now is the time to put them on. After applying your graphics, cover them with another round of clear. It may take one or more rounds of clear to completely bury the graphics. Be sure to wet sand flat with 600 grit between rounds of clear. After the last round of clear has been sprayed, sand it down flat with 600 grit like before. When it's nice and smooth, finish it off with 1500 grit. If you want to get it even more silky smooth, go for a final round of 2000 grit.
POLISHING
Now for the gratifying part. The final step is to polish it to a mirror finish. You'll need a variable speed polisher, a buffing pad, and some polishing compound. There are many different kinds of buffing compound available. Your local automotive supply store will be able to recommend a good one.

Has anyone made the mistake of painting the walls with old sour smelling paint?
I've made the mistake of painting my walls with old sour paint which has made the room smell musty. Has one-else done this? And what did you do to fix it?
Not my walls, but my front porch. It smelled for years, a little, when it got damp. It smelled like rotten eggs. I just left it, since it was outdoors, but I don't think it would have been bearable inside the house. Short of sanding the stuff off which is an enormous amount of work, you might look into priming with the best sealer you can find, maybe even 2 coats though primer usually only takes one, then repainting. Ask at the best paint store in town for a good primer.

Africa Modern
Africa Modern

Best Safari Places in Africa
Generally, Africa is adorned by beautiful sites, great culture and very friendly people. Wherever you go as a tourist, you will enjoy the hospitality. There is as an African proverb that says that a visitor is like a river. He will not be around for long. Therefore do not be tired of treating him well when he is around. Depending on what you are looking for, be assured that the safari to Africa will be unforgettable. If you choose any part of Africa, the rich culture will entice you. The culture changes as you move from one part of Africa to another depending on the people living there. Modernization also affects the cultural practices too. Where people have embraced the western ways of life, you will find minimal cultural beliefs and practices.
If you love rock and mountain climbing, the Kilimanjaro in Tanzania is a good challenge for you. Mount Kenya found in Kenya is also a very big tourist attraction. All you need to do is get a reputable tour company that will guide you through the process. The tour company will also assist in getting good camping grounds, hotels, arranging transport and any other necessary equipment for the journey. Egypt is also a very good safari place in Africa. The pyramids which were part of the Seven Wonders of the World are very unique and beautiful. They are also intriguing as they were built hundreds of years ago using human labor alone.
If you are a person who loves history, the best is in Africa. The fight over apartheid in South Africa will intrigue you. You will also learn more about great African leaders such as Mwalimu Nyerere of Tanzania, Nelson Mandela of South Africa and not so good leaders such as Idd Amin of Uganda. You can also get to experience life from the towns these leaders originated from. Sites where great massacres and genocides took place are also tourist attraction centers. These include Rwanda, Burundi, Somali and Sudan.

why hasn't africa been host to a modern olympic game yet?
i read that africa hasn't hosted a modern olympic games just curious to why
South America hasn't either (although it could potentially be holding the 2016 olympics I believe, in Brazil. It's in the running).
I imagine its due to financial issues. The host country has to have the money to host them - pure and simple. They have to have the money and resources to make arenas, athlete villages, etc etc etc. They have to have the infastructure. Airports to get people - athletes and fans - in and out. They have to have a good road system. They have to have accomodations. And they have to be secure. I think a lot of people would be quite concerned about the Olympics in Africa. It seems as if the continent's got a bad wrap in regards to corruption and safety. I'm not sure how fair that is. I don't know that much about it.
South Africa's the most likely to get it, but I think it's a far ways off yet.

Cairo Rediscovered
I used to think Cairo was a dump. A noisy, dusty, congested cesspit; where the touts, the traffic, and the tower blocks blend into one seething unremarkable mass around the river Nile. Those were the days when I didn’t really know Cairo. Now I go there every year. To relax, to contemplate, and to surround myself with history. To walk along the banks of the Nile, photograph its many mosques, admire the night time skyline, and to absorb the unmistakable buzz of Africa’s largest city.
Although there are some elements of truth to my early objections. It is over populated (17million people) and the number of dent ridden, clapped out cars that occupy the streets often reduce traffic to a standstill. Everything is dusty, and what should take “just five minutes sir”, will for no apparent reason, take much, much longer. The poverty is obvious, and ugly tower blocks are constantly springing up to accommodate Egypt’s ever increasing population. With one million news mouths to feed every year, and no sign of slowing down, the city grows and the desert shrinks as the government desperately try to keep up.
Most tourists who pass through this huge city make a B-line straight for the Giza plateau. Home of course to the great Pyramid, not to mention several thousand post card vendors, men touting camels, pizza hut and KFC. And, having taken in this architectural feet that defies the imagination, the Egyptian museum is next on any classical itinerary. Together perhaps with a brief shopping/toilet stop at one of the many papyrus institutes, this completes the common perception of Cairo’s “must see” sights. And indeed, they should not be missed. But if you get passed these, and take the time to look a little harder, this clumsy giant of a city, will touch your heart.
Most visitors to Egypt will allocate one or two days in Cairo. After that, the majority will head south to Luxor (the former capital of the pharonic world) or the more adventurous may head east to Sinai, in search of the best hiking or diving spots. But if you find yourself with a free afternoon in Cairo and you have already visited the Giza plateau and the museum, this is how you should spend your time.
First find some lunch, something Egyption. A good falafel sandwich alone can be a reason enough to visit this part of the world. Unlike it’s neighbours, who use chick peas, the Egyptian falafel is made from broad beans, pressed into small round balls and deep fried. Put into pita bread and add a little salad and tahini, and you have you have yourself a very tastey lunch for about 20pence (45 cents). Try the "Falfella" chain, which has a good reputation, and makes tasty sandwhiches which are easy on our western stomachs, A lesser known, and more filling snack is Kosheri. A vegetarians’ complete delight. Consecutive layers of pasta, rice, noodles, lentils, macaroni, and chickpeas are served in a round metal dish with a tomato sauce, chilli and lemon. Simple, healthy, and very, very tasty, at first it’s hard to believe you have never made this yourself.
Cairo is littered with literally thousands of these Kosheri dens who’s menu has just three choices, small, medium, or large. Whilst most tour groups find an upmarket air conditioned restaurant in which to dine, I find sitting amongst the locals at the often communal tables is a real treat, and warm smiles are exchanged as we scoff down our food merrily.
Another sensory treat, is the market of Kanal Kallili. Here you can find anything from spices to jewellery to belly dancing costumes, to stuffed rabbits smoking sheesha pipes. They say if they don’t have what you’re looking for, they’ll find somebody that does. And if you like to buy ‘tatt‘, then this is definitely the place. Glittery key rings, false moustaches, and arab head dresses are dangled in front of you as you make your way through the crowded streets. But cross the bridge and head away from the mosque and you’ll find yourself in the market of old Islamic Cairo, a section less commonly visited by the western tourist. The stalls sell nothing special, fabrics, cloths and underwear, but here you can catch a glimpse of real Egyptians going about their business. You’ll be left alone by the shop keepers who don’t speak English, and be transported back in time, free to wander and enjoy the surrounding Islamic architecture.
The area is also home to many shisha cafes, the traditional perfumed tobacco smoked through elaborately decorated water pipes. Every street in Cairo has at least one and in recent years, they have become the trendy hangout of the young. On Saturday nights, young men and women will gather round the tables wearing they’re best clobber, cheerfully toking on the apple scented pipes.
Located on an island in the Nile, Zamalek is home to arguably Egypt’s best football team, and some of Cairo’s best restaurants and bars. It's an affluent area, home to many middle class Egyptians, foreign students, and ex pats. But If you want to sample the modern day Cairovian nightlife this is the place to do it. Walk off the dusty streets, through a doorway and you can sip a cocktail or two in a bar that wouldn't be out of place in London or New York. Or alternatively, if you want to buy western style clothes at non-western style prices, you can restock your wardrobe here for a fraction of the price of home. It’s a great place to chill out and spend an evening, but as dusk falls there is only one place I want to be.
The 6th October bridge hangs low over the Nile and connects downtown Cairo with Zamalek. During the day this bridge is as noisy and congested as any other duel carriage way in town, but by night it is positively atmospheric. It is from this bridge that one can really begin to take it all in. As the sun drops somewhere over the western desert and lights come on all around you, the Nile flows like a huge silent snake beneath you, reflecting a city skyline that ranks with London or Istanbul. And as you absorb this visual feast, the call to prayer begins in a mosque quietly in the distance, and then leaps across the city from mosque to mosque, from minaret to minaret. Until it too, is all around you, drowning out the sound of cars, and playing like an orchestra as you watch the lights dance around Africas largest city, the stars above and their reflection in the awesome river below.

Mormon/antiMormon: Who first thought that the Joseph Smith papyri collection was destroyed by the Chicago Fire
When the papyri was found in the 1960's it was publicly announced that they (Mormons) assumed the papyri was destroyed in the Great Chicago Fire of 1871! How did they know that it had been in Chicago after losing track of it in Missouri, much less thinking it had been burned in a fire where it had resided in Woods Museum in Chicago? Who knew it was in Chicago enough to assume it was destroyed in said fire? Why was there no attempt to purchase the papyri at that time if its existence was known to the church, to preserve it as a historical religious document?
The following is an excerpt from "Eyewitness, Hearsay, and Physical Evidence of the Joseph Smith Papyri
from The Disciple as Witness: Essays on Latter-day Saint History and Doctrine in Honor of Richard Lloyd Anderson"
by John Gee.
"As is well-known, the Joseph Smith Papyri (JSP) were found at Thebes by Antonio Lebolo with a cache of mummies.9 Lebolo commissioned Albano Oblasser to take the mummies to America and sell them. After buying the mummies in New York, Michael Chandler toured the eastern United States with them, selling them piecemeal as he went to pay debts. At Kirtland, Ohio, he sold the remaining four of the mummies to Joseph Smith and others in July 1835 for the price of $2,400. The mummies and papyri traveled to Missouri and Nauvoo. After Joseph's death, Emma Smith's second husband, Lewis Bidamon, sold the mummies to Abel Combs, who took them on another traveling show. While keeping some of the papyri, he sold the mummies to the Saint Louis Museum, after which they were sold to the Wood Museum in Chicago, where they were destroyed in the great fire of 1871. The papyri kept by Combs eventually went to Combs's housekeeper, whose daughter's widower sold them in 1947 to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, who in turn gave them to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on 27 November 1967."
So you see, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints knew about the papyri being in the possession of Emma Smith Bidamon but may or may not have known that her husband sold them. Emma Smith was not on friendly terms with the Church of Jesus Christ and so it was unlikely that any attempt by the Church to acquire the papyri would have been successful. Furthermore, the sale of religious or historical documents is not something people tend to do and then announce it. Emma was probably embarrassed that she sold them. When people sell something of extreme value, it is usually because they need the money. It's unlikely she would have written the Church in Utah and informed them of her deed.
The Church was at that time impoverished, most of their holdings having been confiscated or sold far below market value in Nauvoo, a huge debt over their heads for the construction of the temple in Nauvoo, and all their expenditures going towards financing other building projects in Utah and in bringing newly-converted members to Utah. Needless to say, they were pretty poor. Also, they were involved during these years in the Utah war, and sentiments towards the Mormons were not particularly positive. In other words, they had lots to worry about. It is more than likely that the sale of the mummies and papryi were not publicized and only later came to light through interviews with the people involved. Whatever the case, the mummies were sold in 1856 and in 1871, the papyri presumed destroyed. But this was probably only learned after the fact by most people.
