Trying to find Famous historical nude painting?
I love this piece and can't remember where I found it or who the artist was. If you know, or have any ideas, please let me know. It is a woman of fuller figure (usual for the time), laying on her right side over a boulder with more rocks surrounding her and in the river that she is on the bank/edge of. Her hand is trailing in the water and her head is on the left side with body continuing in repose to the right. Her hair is flipped to her right due to her position. Her lower body is on it's right side and her upper body is turned almost facing the ground. Her left leg is bent at the knee and drawn up farther than the left. It's got the classic muted, slightly blurred coloring and is definately not a modern artist or style. Thanks, and any ideas would be helpful!
It's similar in style to Bouguereau's "After the Bath" or some of Da Vinci's works. With the soft blending and muted colors
