I've made the decision to publish some useful advice on how to create lifelike animal portraits in various mediums. Beginning animal portraitists wanting to improve the artistic quality of their charcoal and oil colour pet portraits asked me the following question numerous times, "what is your secret creating such fantastic lifelike pet portraits", and therefore I'm going to try explaining it right here.

There're some essential rules in the process of making lifelike animal portraits. These include; do not begin instantly to paint or draw pet portrait art if you're a beginner; draw objects from reality such as tables, apples, mugs or one of your hands to get familiar with how to find the correct angles; be willing to learn draw and paint techniques from the classic masters and stop appreciating modern painting art only, try finding books about their painting styles!

Today, art school students will usually not be educated about how to create lifelike pet portrait paintings or drawings. The best pet portrait artists are true animal lovers. This is significant due to being able to express the animal's character and personality.

My own experiences made clear that the self-learning period can be very long and difficult and some people will never reach the stage I've gotten to, no matter how eagerly they'll try. Even today, I'm still learning new skills every time when drawing or painting pets! Always observe your portrait work with a healthy dose of criticism and learn from your previous mistakes.

Every pet portrait you draw will get better then the last one and never stop trying. Take a close look at how the old masters' animal portrait paintings were created, such as works by Vermeer and Rembrandt. Using a bit of their techniques will definitely improve your pet portraiture skills!

Ok.... so i need to paint a creative self portrait for art class... Help Pleazzzee!!!!?

Well we need a painting that describes ourselves, but in a creative way. I am doing a realistic oil painting, but i didn't known how to incorporate what other people said about me. They said i am quiet, crazy, ambitioius, unique, easy-going, friendly, creative, dependable.... and when asked what stands out most, they said tall, face, and unserious, hair voice, and height, facial expressions, friendliness, tallness... and the colors that describe me are aqua because im beachish, cool green because i am fun yet chill and yellow because I am bright. SOOOOO i need a lot of helop deciding. i wanted to do something maybe either with synflowers or a frame held by my hands in front of my face with the front colorfula nd the back black and white, but i'm not sure how it can describe me.

umm.. instead of making it realistic try making it into abstract.. then put all those suggestions together.. it can still look pretty if your abstract has realistic details..
