What makes sense wind energy offshore or ocean wave energy off the coast? Many would say that wind generators make the most sense, but environmentalists say that these turbine blades kill birds. So ocean wave energy generation makes more sense then right?

Well yes, you see water is 750 more times dense than air at sea level and perhaps ocean water (because things float better in Salt Water or in the Great Salt Lake, Salton Sea and Ocean) is denser, so 800 times sounds right? That is right 800 times the density of air. On the Pelamis Design, I find these ocean wave generating designs adequate, but there are other designs, which appear to be more efficient on paper.

I believe it is of some value and could be redesigned to allow for water vortex eddies above and below it to help both the up and down cycles. Still I see a lot of effort for less than favorable results considering some of the other designs out there like the Fieldstone Energy http://www.FieldStoneEnergy.com units. Let us face it, large infrastructure projects cost lots of money and therefore if you are going to go for it, better get the best unit and make it count.

In many parts of the country massive wind turbine farms have not met the demands needed to make a fair return on investment. Yet perhaps in the future there maybe technologies able to use frequency to thicken the air by aligning molecules, nevertheless the ocean wave energy systems should be looked at and considered. I hope this article will propel thought in 2007.

Mountain or sea? Why?

Most of us would like to have both, maybe a mountain home with a sweeping view of the ocean. But if you can not have both, which would you prefer to be your sanctuary, a beach house or a mountain retreat?

I hate sand
I can't see whats in the ocean, water too murky for me
and I can't do the above things
