How can I remove Gold leaf paint from brass/ or steel?
I have a porthole from the Queen Mary, and the person before me painted it in gold leaf.
I was wounding if there is a way to remove this paint with out damaging the brass, that is if it is brass.
from what I've read, a heat gun may help remove gold leaf paint, and I don't think that it would damage the brass if you're careful
