Beautiful Still Life

You are a good guy. You are considered by many to be a good son who obeys your parents, teachers, bosses, friends and simply everyone around you. What they tell you to do, you simply do without asking or raising objections. So much so that one of your friends decided to introduce you to a girl since you are still single.

And just as you thought things will get better, you get a rude shock.

This very attractive girl whom your friend introduced has a very different perception about you. In front of your friend minutes ago, she seems very accommodating and nice. But once your friend leaves you and her alone to talk and know each other better, she starts getting bored and restless. No matter how nice you try to be, she simply do not want to tell you more about herself. Instead she wants you to tell her more about yourself. And when you do, this is how she reacted.

The next minute she calls her friend on iPhone. Ten minutes later, her friends arrive. Her friend turns out to be the leader and a gangster looking type - wearing a jacket, jeans and ultra dark sunglasses. What's more, he and his other friends smoke. The girl runs up to him, kiss him and hop on his bike. Before you do it, they all leave on the bikes without even greeting you or saying goodbye to you.

Does this sound familiar?

The first question you probably ask is why is that so? I mean you are very nice to her as you do with everyone else. You did not do anything wrong or offend her. You simply do what she asks the same way like what everyone ask. Yet she feels restless about you and starts getting hyped up when she see a less decent looking guy than you.

As David DeAngelo of Double Your Dating mentioned before, attraction does not happen by logic. It happens by choice. In this case, it happens by her choice and not yours.

One very important lesson I learn from dating is that just because her friends or even her parents like me does not mean that she likes me as well. I hate to bring this up but it is an absolute truth that you guys - especially those nice ones like me - must know.

The truth is most beautiful women love bad guys. Why? First of all, they are unique in their eyes. Unique as in being exciting and unpredictable. Now these are the main characteristics that somehow drew them closer to women. So in case you wonder why some women still love guys despite being badly treated and beaten be in dramas, movies or real life, this is the answer.

On the other guys, good guys are boring and too predictable. They are also too dependent and focused on making the girls like them by doing everything they are asked. They are also very homely and less adventurous in the way they go about the same routine of waking up in the morning, go to work, knock off, have dinner, watch TV and sleep.

So in reality, most beautiful women see bad guys as heros and good guys as villains.

Because of that, does that mean you should be a bad guy? Dressing up like a gangster, having tattoos, smoking cigars and riding on motorbikes? Or even worse, picking on someone weaker than you? Believe me, I have seen some bad guys making fun of weaker guys who are nice and their girlfriends simply stood and laughed.

The answer is no. You do not have to.

First of all, never meet the women with the sole intention of dating and marrying them. I am sorry to tell you this. But women in the early 20s and 30s now are no longer like those in the 70s, 80s and even 90s. Buying dinner, watching movies and shopping are methods that used to work in the past but may not in the present. Especially to women from early to mid 20s now. I mean the really attractive and beautiful women.

Secondly, make her laugh. Most women love jokes. So they see guys with a sense of humour as their entertainment assets. Entertainment assets as in wantng those guys to stay longer and meet up more frequently so that they can get to hear more of those jokes. From my real life experience, eighty per cent of those so-called jokes does not come from comedy shows. It comes from how a guy teases a girl and somehow rather the girl gets drawn to it. They usually do not make any sense to other parties like myself but makes a lot of sense to the girl and the guy she is interested in.

But the most important thing is to be friends with her first. When you talk to her as you normally talk to your friends, you feel less nervous and more relaxed. Then when the girl sees you behaving that way, she herself will feel the same way too.

life is beautiful?

somehow i never really believe that but people kept on saying that. our lives arent like the movies. whats so beautiful? theres a lot of problems and i think its driving me crazy. i know challenge is supposed to make your life sorta more meaningfull but im constantly feel likes im all alone in this world. my amily never cared of what i felt and its been going on for years.

when i was in school im closer to my friends than my own families. now that we are graduated and move on to universities im losing my friends. people change, i know i changed too but then, still...

life isnt so beautiful when you are alone isnt it?

No life is not always beautiful and mainly when you are alone, as i am sometimes, and yet other time it can be very beautiful, like on a summers day, or in my case with my grandchildren. I am sorry that you did not feel close to your family, and more closer to your friends, as it should have been the other way around, and when we do "move on" to other places such as it is in your case we do change and so do others around us, which is rather hard to take. The only way life would be beautiful to me is to find a Mr Right and find some comfort with him (i have been a widow for 17 years and only have my family) but you can't always "hang around with them" as they have their own lives to live. Loneliness is a horrible thing, i do hope that you can find that you are not so alone in the world and thing improve for you soon.
