Are there any resources for determining where antique theater seats were originally installed?
I have a pair of cast iron frame, wood and upholstery theater seats manufactured by the American Seating Co., Chicago. When I removed the upholstered back on one it had stamped on the wood "4648". Trying to determine where they came from. I bought them from an antique joint in Poughkeepsie, NY.
I did a quick search and the company is still in business, below is their website. They may be able to give you that information. At least, it's a place to start.
