How and why what people call abstract art wonderful? For example big huge canvas and only 3 black dots/circles are on it. I mean people stand there ponder over the meaning of it or paint splatter on a canvas I don't get it.

Well, people didn't get impressionism either, and now it's considered priceless. Instead, they preferred neoclassical art and academic art that is considered to be soft core porn or pin up girls by todays standards. Instead of looking simply at the abstract art, you have to consider several things. 1.) Art isn't simply about the finished product, it is also about the journey the artist goes through while painting. Just look at Klee's art. It looks like crap done by children. But, in reality, what he was trying to accomplish was painting like one composes music (he was a semi-professional violinist). He wanted the overall art to be orderly, but have a layer of colour for every sound. He wanted to paint like a child as well, because he wanted to feel that amusement and utter joy a child feels when drawing or listening/playing music. It was the journey, see.
